For scanning we provide an Epson Perfection V850 Pro Photo, a professional quality scanner with an efficient dual-lens system and high pass optics. Our scanning workstation is available to Museum members only. New users will receive a free 30 minute introductory session, after which they may hire the flatbed scanner for independent use. If further tuition is required, the Artist Digital Studio one-to-one tuition rate will apply.

The scanner can accommodate both prints and film formats from 35mm up to 10x8 in a range of media, including black-and-white negative, colour negative and positives (slides). The workstation is equipped with a selection of Adobe software, including Bridge, Lightroom and Photoshop. Members are advised to bring a portable hard-drive or USB memory key to transfer their files (any files that remain on the workstation computer will be deleted within a 24 hour period).

Advance booking is required all facilities and can be done in person or over the phone – we accept all major credit/ debit cards. Bookings cannot be split and are non-transferable. With more than 24 hours’ notice, a booking may be re-scheduled at no extra charge. Concession rates apply to students, unwaged and those over 65.
Professional Scanning Services
Professional scanning of 35mm, 120 and 4x5" film negatives using the Hasselblad Flextight X5 Virtual Drum scanner. With up to 8000dpi optical scanning resolution we can deliver digital image files of superb quality for all purposes.
Cost: €25 per scan includes 15 minutes of cleaning
